City of Liverpool College Open Event: Wednesday 22 March 2023
The next City of Liverpool College open event takes place Wednesday 22nd March between 4-6pm. All five college centres will open their doors as it’s a great opportunity for visitors to see the fantastic facilities they have on offer and meet their excellent tutors and support staff. SEND/EHCP information workshop: 18th April 2023
The City of Liverpool College is hosting a SEND/EHCP information workshop on the 18th April 2023, 17:00 – 18:30pm. This is open for students and parents so that they can come along and get a better understanding of how the College support students who have an EHCPs or SEN needs.

Riverside College Open Event: Tuesday 14th March
Join us Riverside College for their next Open Event tonight, Tuesday 14th March, 5pm – 7pm! Meet their tutors, see their outstanding facilities, hear from their students and learn about the great range of courses they have on offer!

Enterprise Challenge
As part of NCW, Liverpool Careers Hub have an exciting Enterprise Challenge for all hub schools and colleges to take part in:
LCR Careers Hub Enterprise Challenge in partnership with LCR Be More and Liverpool One
- Would you like your students to take the initiative to research the LCR Labour Market?
- Would you also like them to develop their entrepreneurial thinking and creativity skills?
- Are you looking to strengthen your evidence base for BM2 and BM4?
- Do you want to encourage your students to access the LCR Be More website?
- Are you looking for a quick easy, self-directed homework task that encourages parental involvement?
- Looking for a quick and easy drop in resource for teachers to deliver during NCW23?
Look no further as we have an exciting competition for your students to enter!
Simply distribute the booklet (). This can be delivered either in PSHE, tutor time, via a relevant curriculum subject eg: Business studies or set as a homework task. Please share this with teachers to give all students the opportunity to get involved.
Collect submissions in & select one winning idea and send the booklet to us via email to: LCR Careers Hub careershub@growthplatform.org by Friday 24th March 2023 at 5pm.
Any year group can take part, but only one winner can be submitted per school/college. All school/college winners will be judged by the LCR Careers Hub and LCR Be More team.
- All pupils taking part will receive a certificate!
- Overall winner will receive a £50 Liverpool One Voucher, feature on The Careers Hub website and receive sector specific advice to help them explore their idea further!
- We also have runner up prizes up for grabs!
Simply distribute, collect, issue certificates, and let us know who your chosen winner is by Friday 24th March 2023 at 5pm.

National Careers Week 2023 Guide
National Careers Week is a one-week celebration of careers guidance to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways.
Schools and Colleges across the LCR are getting involved to raise the spotlight on the importance of careers guidance and provide students with the inspiration to achieve and aim high.

Pathways posters for parents
These posters show potential pathways for young people at the age of 16. Developed with the support of the Birmingham SEND Careers Hub the posters are relevant for those typically not likely to take GCSE (Career Group 1) and those typically likely (Career Group 2).

LCR Careers in Gaming – Parent/Carers Edition
This session will be suitable for parents, carers and young people wanting to find out more about careers in the gaming industry.
Will be be joined by local companies including: Avalanche Studios, d3t, Lucid, Ripstone, Scenegraph Studios, Skyhookgames, Universally Speaking and Wushu Studios.
