Who is this for?
This is an opportunity for 16-24 year olds living in the Liverpool City Region, who are not currently in education, training or employment.
What is this programme?
You’ll get access to employment and construction training and employment opportunities alongside boxing or Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes.
It’s all about improving confidence, discipline and teamwork, with sessions coached by ‘Meatball Molly’ McCann and Tony Bellew.
The construction learning will set you on the right path to a successful career in the building industry. From new homes to world famous football stadiums and everything in between, you’ll meet renowned guest speakers and learn about:
- Asbestos Awareness
- Manual Handling
- First Aid
- Health and Safety in Construction
- Mental Health First Aid in Construction
- Customer Service Skills
- Employability Skills
- Travel Management
How long is the course?
You’ll be with us for 12 weeks
Will I get work experience?
You’ll undertake an 4- week work experience placement with a local construction company, getting hands on experience for your future career.
Will I get a qualification?
You’ll leave this course with:
- A CSCS card, which allows you to work on UK construction sites
- NCFE Level 1 Certificate Occupational Studies in the Workplace
- Temporary Traffic Management certificate
- Maths and/or English functional skills (if needed)
What can I do next?
Once you’ve completed this course, you can move straight into employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
